Dress A Girl Around the World - SF Bay Area

Imagine a world where every little girl owned at least one new dress

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q:  How can I get a kit?

A:  Call or email us to arrange a time for pick up.  We are happy to leave on our porch for pick up as well. If you live out-of the-area, we are happy to mail you a few kits.

Q:  How do the dresses get to the countries/little girls?

A:  They are hand delivered by missionaries OR by folks like you who know of a needy area.  For example, if you are vacationing in Belize, do some research and see if there is an orphanage or village that could use dresses!  If you or your church group is going on a spring break/summer missions trip and the village girls could use dress, let us know!  We only require that they are hand delivered to the girls

Q:  Do you provide dresses for Operation Christmas Child boxes?

A:  Yes, we do!  Every year we supply dresses to local groups filling boxes for OCC, and we also send an additional 1000 dresses to the national distribution center where they check all the boxes.  If a box needs additional items and it belongs to a girl, it will get a dress!

Q:  I have extra fabric and trim. Do you accept donations?

A:  Yes, we accept fabric donations of good quality cotton and nice, sturdy, cotton trims.  (Please DO NOT wash the fabric before donating.)  We DO NOT accept any other fabrics or synthetic trims.  Please take such donations to a local thrift shop (locally take to Savers in Dublin).

Q: Are my donations tax deductible?

A:  Absolutely.  We are happy to supply you with a receipt.  Dress A Girl Around the World is a legitimate 501 (c)3 organization and all donations are tax-deductible.

Q: Are you a Christian organization?  What denomination are you affiliated with?

A:  DAG is a non-denominational group, with particpants from every and all denominations and serving all missions groups. Our particular chapter is a ministry of St Michael Catholic Church in Livermore, CA.

Q: Is there a charge to be involved in your group?  Is there a charge if I want to take dresses somewhere?

A:  There is no charge to be involved in our group; just come with your sewing machine, iron or scissors and be ready to work! If you would like to take dresses, we will give them to you at no charge; simply provide us with the name of the person/organization to whom they are going, along with contact information.
