ABOUT US
We are a chapter of the national organization Dress A Girl Around the World, which is a Campaign under Hope 4 Women International (a 501 (c) 3 organization) bringing dignity to women around the world since 2006. Hope 4 Women International is a nondenominational independent Christian organization. Visit the H4W website to learn more about helping impoverished women in third world countries such as Uganda.
As a part of H4W, Dress A Girl wants little girls to know that they are worthy and respect, and that they are loved by God. How do you feel when you get a new dress? We want to ensure that each little girl will know that feeling at least once, since for many, this dress will be the only new dress she ever owns. We make our dresses as if we were making them for God--in other words, we do our very best to make "God's best dress." Many girls in these countries are little more than property, but we want each little girl to know that she has dignity and that that God loves her! We want her to know that she is worthy of love.
In addition to making an adorable dress, we also put the Dress A Girl label on the outside front of the dress. The label indicates that an organization is looking after these little ones, and it is known that predators pass by little girls who looked 'loved.' That's worth the extra time and effort, don't you think?
